“Amidst Madness Of Hyper Masculinity...": Did Kartik Aaryan Take A Dig At Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar'?
Kartik Aaryan's ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ was released two weeks after ‘Dhurandhar’, and has been impacted by its massive success.
The ‘Dhurandhar’ wave has led to Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ crashing at the box office. The Aditya Dhar directorial has been outperforming the Christmas release of 2025, and it is fair to say that the Karan Johar-backed Kartik Aaryan starrer is poised to incur significant losses for Dharma Productions. Amidst the two movies clashing at the ticket counters, it appears that Kartik took a potshot at Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna-starrer 'Dhurandhar'.
Kartik took to Instagram Stories to share a shoutout from screenplay writer Saurabh Bharat. The initial post had a positive review of 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', which read, "It's so heartwarming to see that amidst the madness of hypermasculinity and testosterone-boasting action films, someone is making a breezing progressive film.”
"Congratulations. For building a genre of cinema which entertains yet pushes an envelope deep in the society," the post further read.
Kartik Aaryan re-shared the Instagram Story with red heart emoticons.

Speaking of ‘Dhurandhar’, starring Ranveer, Akshaye, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun, the film continues to perform well at the box office. And the project is expected to breach the Rs 700 crore Hindi nett mark on Monday, the 25th day of its release.
The Aditya Dhar directorial has already surpassed the Rs 1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office despite being banned in the Gulf region. Fans won't have to wait long for the story to continue; the second instalment of the franchise is already locked for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
'Dhurandhar' uses real 26/11 footage and actual audio recordings of terrorist handlers as the spy espionage film is loosely based on real life events. The film’s political stance was previously questioned by Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan. However, responding to those concerns, Danish Pandor told India TV that the film is rooted in deep research.
Coming back to Kartik Aaryan's film, it opened to mixed to negative reviews upon its release. So far, the film has managed to collect just Rs 23 crore, according to Sacnilk.
