Emraan Hashmi is the latest Bollywood actor to enter the Rs 100 crore club. It has taken quite some time, but the moment has finally arrived for the actor. Emraan achieved the feat with his latest release 'Awarapan 2', which breached the Rs 100 crore mark on Tuesday, the fifth day of its release. The film opened to largely favourable audience and critical reactions and maintained its momentum despite releasing alongside Sunny Deol's 'Batwara 1947'. The two films went head-to-head at the box office, but 'Awarapan 2' established a clear advantage during the opening stretch.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, 'Awarapan 2' added Rs 9.75 crore to its India net total on Tuesday. The film had collected Rs 9.25 crore on Monday, indicating that it continued to draw audiences even after the extended opening weekend. The sequel began its theatrical run with an impressive Rs 22 crore on Friday. It then recorded a substantial rise on Saturday, benefiting from the Independence Day holiday, as collections climbed to Rs 33.75 crore.
Sunday saw the expected moderation, with the film earning around Rs 26 crore. The subsequent Monday and Tuesday collections took the film's nett tally in India to Rs 100.75 crore.
With this, Emraan has joined the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh, among others, in having a project gross more than Rs 100 crore in India. His journey began with 'Housefull 2', the Sajid Khan-directed comedy that also starred John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh and Shreyas Talpade. The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in 2012, becoming an important commercial milestone for Kumar.
Interestingly, the actor's remarkable record has been built across several genres. Action films, comedies, social dramas and franchises have all contributed to his impressive tally.
2. Salman Khan - 18 Films
First Rs 100 crore film: Dabangg (2010)
