Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is wasting no time after the success of ‘Awarapan 2’. The actor is ready to dive into another high-energy entertainer with ‘Gunmaaster G9’, and its newly unveiled teaser promises a mix of romance, explosive action and music. Directed by Aditya Datt, the film pairs Emraan with Genelia Deshmukh and also features Aparshakti Khurana and newcomer Abhishek Singh. At first glance, it is clear that the film intends to go big on both emotion and spectacle.

Aparshakti Khurana appears to be playing a character who operates on a very different wavelength from Emraan's intense protagonist. The digital release of the ‘Gunmaaster G9’ teaser on August 25 has given fans their first proper glimpse of the film. However, the makers have also planned a theatrical rollout for the preview. The teaser will be screened alongside Yash's 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups', allowing audiences to experience the first look on the big screen.
'Gunmaaster G9' also carries a strong dose of nostalgia for Emraan's longtime fans. The actor is once again collaborating with director Aditya Datt and composer Himesh Reshammiya, nearly two decades after the trio worked together on 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne'.
The film has also secured a release date that could make its theatrical run particularly interesting. 'Gunmaaster G9' is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 27, when it will go head-to-head with Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari's 'Yeh Prem Mol Liya'.
The clash has an additional talking point because Aparshakti Khurana, who features in ‘Gunmaaster G9’, will find his film competing directly with his brother Ayushmann's release.
For Emraan, the project arrives at an important point following 'Awarapan 2'. With romance at its centre but action seemingly driving much of the spectacle, 'Gunmaaster G9' could give the actor another opportunity to explore the intense screen persona that has remained popular with his audience.
