Kartik Aaryan shared a fun video with Hollywood director Darren Aronofsky in Abu Dhabi, hinting at a potential collaboration.
Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan seems to be on a mission to conquer the West, one Hollywood legend at a time. The Bollywood heartthrob surprised fans on Wednesday by dropping a playful video featuring acclaimed Hollywood director Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Whale) from Abu Dhabi. The clip, captioned “Aaryanofsky Brothers,” captured a candid bromance that has sparked serious collaboration rumours. The video opened with Aronofsky greeting the camera, calling Kartik his “old friend”.
As the duo enjoyed a cup of chai, the director dropped a sarcastic compliment that left Kartik in splits. “I’ve been to India a few times, and my favourite actor is also here,” Darren Aronofsky said. He then deadpanned, “He will be a big star in India.”

When a surprised Kartik asked, “In India?”, Darren Aronofsky corrected himself with a smirk: “In America, we are big fans, but I think India will learn to love him soon.” Kartik burst into laughter, replying, “Okay, thank you for ruining my day.”
The banter continued with Darren Aronofsky asking if Kartik would bring him to India for a movie. “I think we need a song and dance,” the director suggested, to which Kartik instantly agreed, proposing a “commercial movie”. The clip ended with an unexpected scene of Kartik, Aronofsky, and an unidentified woman doing push-ups on the floor.
Adding fuel to the fire, Darren Aronofsky commented on the post: “Should we announce our collab here?” sending fans into a frenzy.
This interaction comes just a day after Kartik Aaryan broke the internet with a picture of himself with Hollywood icon Johnny Depp. Captioning the moment, “Pirates of the Red Sea. JackSparrow x RoohBaba,” Kartik looked visibly relaxed beside the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star.
Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, directed by Sameer Vidwans. Co-starring Ananya Panday as Rumi, with Kartik playing Ray, the film is touted as a “90s-style love story in 2025’s hook-up culture”. The cast also features Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff, and Tiku Talsania.
