'Succession' finale: Here's how things unfolded in the final episode.

Heading into the 'Succession' finale, the question on everybody's minds was who will succeed Logan Roy (Brian Cox) as the head of Waystar Royco? Will it be Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin), Shiv (Sarah Snook) or the underdog Cousin Greg (Nicholas Braun). Heading into the Season 4 finale, many fan theories were rooting for Cousin Greg to tilt the balance in his favour? The 'Succession' finale dropped in India on Monday morning, and boy oh boy, did the finale live up to the hype. The last episode titled 'With Open Eyes' had a run-time of 1 hour and 25 minutes and every second was worth it.

So, who actually succeeds Logan Roy in the show? Well, spoiler alert! It is Tom (Matthew Macfadyen), who walks away as the new CEO of Waystar Royco.

“Shiv, you should probably know: it’s me," Tom said in one of the scenes in the finale.

In the dying minutes of the episode, Shiv gets cold feet and she decides to not support Kendall in his bid to become the CEO. And hence, Tom walks away as the big winner.

The final image of the series had Kendall Roy walking through a park, being completely dejected.
