BAFTA TV Awards 2024 turned out to a surprising affair as uber-popular shows like 'The Crown' and 'Black Mirror' failed to register wins in any categories. HBO's popular show 'Succession' was also able to register win in just one category as actor Matthew Macfadyen picked up the win in the Best Supporting Actor category. For the unversed, the actor did not attend the ceremony at London’s Royal Festival Hall. As a result, Helena Bonham Carter, who presented the category, walked off with the iconic gold BAFTA mask with the promise she would get it to Macfadyen, as reported by Variety.
Popular shows like 'Beef' and 'The Bear' also failed to register a win in any category.
BAFTA TV Awards 2024 were hosted by comedian duo Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan.
