Ten days after the passing of Bollywood legend Dharmendra, a new video has surfaced online showing his son, actor Sunny Deol, losing his temper with the paparazzi. The clip, which has gone viral on social media, captures a visibly furious Sunny confronting a photographer for invading the family’s privacy during the solemn asthi visarjan (immersion of ashes) ritual. In the video, widely shared on X (formerly Twitter), Sunny Deol can be seen storming towards a photographer and grabbing his camera.

Frustrated by the intrusion into a deeply personal moment, the actor can be seen shouting, “Paise chahiye tereko? Kitne paise chahiye?,” before reprimanding the cameraman for his lack of sensitivity.

This incident reportedly took place while the Deol family was immersing the late actor's ashes, following his death last month at the age of 89.

This is not the first time that Sunny Deol has clashed with the media during this difficult period. Last month, another video went viral showing him scolding photographers gathered outside his home while his father was critically ill.

In that clip, a distressed Sunny pleaded for decency, saying, “Aap logon ko sharam aani chahiye… Aapke ghar mein maa-baap hain, bacche hain. Ch*****n ki tarah video liye jaa rahe ho. Sharam nahi aati?”

The incident has reignited the debate on paparazzi ethics, a topic recently addressed by veteran actress Jaya Bachchan. During a conversation with Barkha Dutt on #WeTheWomen, she sharply criticised the behaviour of modern photographers.

“My relationship with media is fantastic, I am the product of media. But my relationship with paparazzi is zero. Who are these people? Are they trained to be representing the people of this country?” she questioned.

She further disparaged their lack of professionalism, adding, “But these people outside, wearing cheap tight pants and holding a mobile phone, think that just because they have a phone, they can take your picture and say whatever they want. And the kind of comments they make! What kind of people are they? Where do they come from, what kind of education do they have? What background? They will represent us? Just because they can upload something on YouTube or any other social platform?”

Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at his residence in Mumbai after a period of hospitalisation at Breach Candy Hospital for respiratory issues. He is survived by his first wife, Prakash Kaur, and his second wife, Hema Malini, along with his children – Sunny, Bobby, Ajeeta, Vijeta, Esha, and Ahana Deol.
