Rapper and singer Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, globally known as Badshah, is making headlines once again as he navigates a wave of controversy surrounding his latest musical release. Following intense public outcry and official scrutiny over his recent Haryanvi hip-hop single ‘Tateeree’, the artist has officially announced a course-correction. In an effort to address the concerns of his audience and regulatory bodies, Badshah has confirmed the upcoming release of a revised version of the track, titled ‘Tateeree Phir Se’.

Originally released on March 1, 2026, ‘Tateeree’ was a highly anticipated collaboration between Badshah and vocalist Simran Jaglan. The track, which blended contemporary rap elements with regional Haryanvi influences, featured lyrics penned by Badshah himself and music produced by Hiten. The official music video was directed by Mahi Sandhu and Joban Sandhu.

However, the song’s success was short-lived as it quickly became the centre of a heated debate. Critics, social workers, and government officials flagged the song for its allegedly explicit lyrics and visuals that many viewers deemed inappropriate. The backlash reached a tipping point when the National Commission for Women (NCW) and the Haryana Police became involved. In response to the growing criticism, the Haryana Police took active measures to remove hundreds of links to the song across various social media platforms.

In the wake of the intensifying controversy, Badshah took down the original song from all streaming platforms and issued an apology. He clarified that he never intended to hurt anyone's sentiments or disrespect cultural values. Taking his commitment a step further, the rapper recently met with the NCW to pledge his support for women's empowerment. As part of this initiative, Badshah has committed to sponsoring the education of 50 girls from economically weaker sections of society, signalling a move toward social accountability.

The Announcement Of ‘Tateeree Phir Se’

“Based on that, we have made necessary changes and removed any part that was considered objectionable,” the artist stated. He emphasised that as an artist, he feels a deep responsibility toward society and culture, adding that he always strives to represent his roots through his music.

The rapper described the upcoming release, ‘Tateeree Phir Se’, as a step forward in that direction. He thanked his supporters for keeping the spirit of the song alive while acknowledging that the conversation surrounding the controversy has helped him grow as an artist.

Fans won’t have to wait long to hear the updated version. Badshah confirmed that ‘Tateeree Phir Se’ is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 14, 2026. The new version is expected to maintain the musical energy of the original while ensuring the content aligns with the feedback provided by the public and officials.

By taking swift action to modify the track and pledging support for social causes, Badshah aims to turn a moment of controversy into a demonstration of artistic maturity and cultural respect. All eyes are now on the April 14 release to see how the revised version resonates with the audience.
