After years of speculation, holidaying together at similar locations, and maintaining they were just close friends, the couple announced their engagement last year. They subsequently married on February 26 in an intimate yet incredibly grand ceremony in Udaipur.
Following the wedding, the newlyweds hosted a lavish reception in Hyderabad that boasted a star-studded guest list, including industry heavyweights like Ram Charan, Nani, Karan Johar, Kriti Sanon, and Allu Arjun. In a thoughtful gesture, they also organised a special meet-and-greet session to celebrate with fans and distribute sweets.
The couple’s love story began on set, having first met while filming the major box-office success ‘Geetha Govindam’, where audiences instantly fell in love with their on-screen chemistry. They later cemented their status as a fan-favourite pair in ‘Dear Comrade’.
Now, fans have even more reason to celebrate, as the couple is set to reunite on screen for their highly anticipated upcoming film, ‘Ranabaali’. Marking their third collaboration and their very first project together since getting married, the film is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The ambitious project is set to be a cinematic reconstruction spanning the years 1854 to 1878. According to the makers, the storyline draws inspiration from real incidents from the 1850s that were notably “omitted” from mainstream history books, built entirely from multiple real accounts, oral histories, and suppressed records.
