Vidya Balan and Priyamani, are two of the most talented actresses in Indian cinema. They never fail to impress audiences with their performances in movies. But did you know that Vidya Balan and Priyamani are related? Yes, you read that right. In the latest entertainment news, we are here to tell you that Priyamani is the second cousin to 'The Dirty Picture' actress Vidya Balan. For the unversed, at various events, Priyamani has talked about being related to Vidya Balan. However, she also said that their equation isn't really close, unlike the one that is shared between their parents.
During an interview with BehindWoods in 2010, Priyamani had opened up on her family equation with Vidya Balan. She revealed that she does not share a very close bond with the actress, who will next be seen in 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3'.
“We don’t meet as often as our parents do. I’m very proud that she’s family, and I wish her a great career," she said.
In another interview, during the promotions of her film 'Rakta Charitra II', Priyamani had once again spoken about her cousin Vidya Balan. She opened up on not having met the latter in person.
She also said that she is not in touch with the Bollywood diva personally, but she is still connected with her father.
“We haven’t been in touch on a personal level—not to her, but I’m in touch with her father. Whenever I come to Mumbai, I make it a point to call her dad. If possible, I would love to meet Vidya someday, because being cousins is a secondary thing, but as an actor, I’m extremely proud of her, and with the body of work that she’s done, she’s a fabulous actor," Pinkvilla quoted Priyamani as saying.
However, during one of her interviews, Vidya Balan, in an interview with DNA, spoke about Priyamani, revealing how the two actually have never met more than just once.
