But did you know there was a time when Amitabh Bachchan collaborated with the Tata Group for a Bollywood film? Yes, you read that right. Back in the early 2000s, under the banner Tata Infomedia Ltd, Ratan Tata launched a production house with HS Billimoria as the Managing Director.

Amitabh Bachchan and Ratan Tata then collaborated on a film called Aetbaar. The Hindi film, directed by Vikram Bhatt, starred Big B, John Abraham, and Bipasha Basu.

The Hindi film, which was released in cinemas in 2004, failed to get going at the box office. As per a report in Rediff, the Tata Group lost around Rs 3.5 crore on the film and decided to pull out of the movie business.

Soon after, the Tatas sold their stake in the company to ICICI Ventures, and the company was renamed Infomedia India.

Speaking about Ratan Tata, he was the chairman of the Tata Group for more than two decades.

He breathed his last at south Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital at 11.30 pm on Wednesday.

Earlier on Monday, Ratan Tata had asserted there was no cause for concern regarding his health.
