The saree, crafted in plush black velvet, fell in a sleek, fluid silhouette that skimmed the body with a near-liquid finish. It was elevated with delicate gold detailing along the borders, while statement gold floral motifs were intricately placed across the pallu, adding texture and depth without overwhelming the monochrome base. The drape was clean and uninterrupted, allowing the fabric’s richness to take centre stage, while subtle tassel accents at the edge introduced movement.
The blouse was where the look truly sharpened — Ananya paired the saree with a structured black velvet bralette-style blouse featuring a deep neckline and fine gold embellishments along the straps and bust. Beneath it, a sheer, boned corset panel cinched the waist, creating a sculpted hourglass effect and lending the ensemble a bold, couture-inspired edge. This fusion of a classic saree with a corseted silhouette transformed the outfit into a powerful statement that felt both traditional and distinctly contemporary.
Keeping the focus on the outfit, the accessories were minimal yet impactful. Ananya Panday opted for statement rings that added a hint of sparkle without distracting from the look’s strong lines.
