Taking a well-deserved break from her gruelling shoot schedule for SS Rajamouli’s upcoming magnum opus ‘Varanasi’, the star was spotted enjoying a relaxed Monday evening at the premium multiplex, AMB Cinemas. Mounted on a staggering budget ranging between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,300 crore, it is poised to be one of the most expensive Indian films ever produced.
The pan-India spectacle is currently being filmed across massive schedules in Hyderabad, Odisha, and Kenya. Details surrounding the plot promise an epic, timeline-spanning adventure. According to a brief synopsis shared by the project's VFX company, Cinesite, the narrative follows a Shiva devotee embarking on a perilous quest across time to uncover a lost cosmic artefact of immense power. The story blends large-scale adventure with deep-rooted Indian cultural themes.
Reports also suggest the story follows the journey of a character named Rudhra, who faces the catastrophic threat of an approaching asteroid. As ancient secrets hidden through centuries are pieced together, the protagonist realizes the calculating mastermind behind the mission seeks absolute global domination.
With ‘Varanasi’ slated for a major theatrical release in April 2027, fans have plenty of reasons to stay glued to Priyanka's spectacular Hyderabad diaries.
