Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana Ranaut fiercely backed Aishwarya against the wave of negative comments, delivering a scathing message to the critics. “Fashion and style is a self expression. It is one's own interpretation of life and their attitude. No woman owes anything to anyone,” Kangana declared. Putting the trolls firmly in their place, she added, “Ash looks great! Those of you who want to see her any other way, why don't you show what you got?”
Kangana Ranaut didn't stop there. She specifically addressed the online attitudes toward age in the glamorous world of fashion and entertainment. “She is not here to please you. She is glorious,” Kangana wrote. “If you are not used to seeing older women on red carpets, get used to them now. Thanks.”

While the internet buzzed over Kangana Ranaut's fiery defense, Aishwarya’s stunning Cannes lookbook remained the true centre of attention. Representing L'Oreal Paris as a global brand ambassador – a title she has proudly held since 2003 – Aishwarya delivered multiple distinct style moments. She walked the red carpet in a show-stopping sculptural blue gown designed by Amit Aggarwal. Titled ‘Luminara’, the couture piece was meticulously crafted around the concept of “light in motion,” translating energy, movement, and force through its engineered craftsmanship. She completed this dramatic ensemble with a sheen dupatta, soft loose curls, diamond-studded jewellery featuring blue stones, pink-toned makeup, and a bold red lip.
Later in the evening, for the ‘Lights On Women's Worth’ event, Aishwarya completely transformed her vibe. She changed into a delicate pastel pink gown by Sophie Couture, complete with beautiful floral detailing and a flowing sheer cape. There, she mingled alongside other massive stars in attendance, including Eva Longoria, Ariana Greenblatt, and Amy Jackson. Finally, for the 79th edition's closing ceremony, the ‘Queen of Cannes’ served a highly stylish white look: a layered tuxedo accented with feathered details, a dramatic feather boa, and curly, blow-dried hair.

Aishwarya's daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, became one of the internet's biggest talking points after making her official red-carpet debut.
