Her recent appearance served as the perfect example of that aesthetic. Designed by Manish Malhotra, the custom blue saree reimagined the classic drape through a contemporary lens. Taking to Instagram, Janhvi shared gorgeous photos of herself in the blue saree.

According to the designer, the look featured a hand-painted French chiffon fringe saree crafted to embody fluidity and effortless glamour. The lightweight chiffon fabric lent the ensemble an almost weightless quality, allowing the saree to move gracefully with every pose.

Unlike a traditionally structured saree, this version embraced a body-skimming silhouette with soft, sheer layering. The translucent drape wrapped across the torso, creating an ethereal effect while revealing a matching bandeau-style blouse underneath. The blouse featured a sweetheart-inspired shape at the front and an open-back design visible in some images, adding a modern, daring touch to the otherwise delicate look.
The saree’s pallu transformed into elongated cape-like panels that fell dramatically from the shoulders, creating the illusion of a flowing train. One of the standout details was the fringe trimming along the hem of these cascading panels, which added movement and theatricality without overwhelming the design.
The blue shade, sitting somewhere between periwinkle and icy pastel blue, enhanced the dreamy quality of the outfit. Against the monochromatic blue backdrop, the ensemble appeared almost cloud-like, with the hand-painted finish adding subtle depth and dimension to the fabric.
Janhvi Kapoor kept her accessories refined yet impactful. Sapphire-toned floral earrings from Jet Gems introduced a sparkling pop of colour while complementing the cool palette of the saree. She paired them with statement gemstone rings and a multi-stone bracelet from Golecha Jewels, lending just the right amount of glamour without distracting from the silhouette.
Her beauty look echoed the ensemble’s soft sophistication. The actress wore her hair in a sleek, high ponytail that highlighted the open-back detailing and elongated neckline created by the scarf-like drape around her neck. Makeup artist Savleen Manchanda opted for glazed, radiant skin, softly sculpted cheeks, defined lashes and glossy neutral-pink lips.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' opposite Varun Dhawan. The movie, co-starring Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf, released on Dussehra 2025. Prior to this, Janhvi starred opposite Sidharth Malhotra in ‘Param Sundari’. Janhvi can now be seen alongside Ram Charan in ‘Peddi’. The sports action drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, released in cinemas today.
