Ranveer Singh shared a cryptic note on social media amid 'Dhurandhar' success.

‘Dhurandhar’, directed by Aditya Dhar, and starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Arjun Rampal, is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. In a rare feat, the espionage thriller minted more money on its second weekend as compared to the opening weekend. Yes, you read that right! ‘Dhurandhar’ now holds the record for minting the most amount of money for a Hindi film in its second weekend.

Ranveer Singh, who has been relatively quiet since the film's release on December 5, has finally broken his silence, issuing a reaction to the blockbuster success of the project. Ranveer, who plays Hamza Ali Mazari aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi in the movie, cited a dialogue from the project, originally said by the character of R Madhavan.

“Kismat ki ek bohut khoobsurat aadat hai, ki woh waqt aane par badalti hai... Lekin filhal... Nazar. aur sabr,” Ranveer wrote on Instagram Stories.

Ranveer Singh Story

It is worth mentioning that ‘Dhurandhar’ is on track to become Ranveer Singh's biggest grosser. The Bollywood actor has had a mixed bag of success prior to the release of the latest film, with only one clean hit in the last five years, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

Prior to the Karan Johar directorial, Ranveer’s ‘83’, ‘Cirkus’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ all tanked at the box office.

Coming back to ‘Dhurandhar’, the new Hindi movie minted Rs 58 crore on Sunday, the 10th day of its release, taking the total nett collection to Rs 350.75 crore. In the second weekend, ‘Dhurandhar’ earned Rs 143.50 crore, according to Sacnilk.

‘Dhurandhar’ narrates the story of an Indian spy infiltrating Pakistan to join the gang of gangster Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna). The film is inspired by real-life events, ranging from the 2001 Parliament attack to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

The film also stars Rakesh Bedi in a key role. The second part of the film is set to release in theatres next year, on March 19.
