O Romeo Box Office Collection: Shahid Kapoor-Starrer Remains Steady, Goes Past Rs 40 Crore
Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s ‘O Romeo’ is trying to maintain its pace at the box office. The box office collection for ‘O Romeo’ film has now gone past Rs 40 crore.
‘O Romeo’, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles, is slowly and steadily chipping away at the ticket counters. The consistent trajectory on the weekdays is ensuring that ‘O Romeo’ film goes past the Rs 50 crore mark at the box office later this week. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the new Hindi movie earned Rs 3.50 crore on Wednesday, the sixth day of its release.

The ‘O Romeo’ box office, total nett domestic collection currently stands at Rs 43.85 crore. On Wednesday, ‘O Romeo’ film had an overall occupancy of 9.07 per cent.
Earlier on Monday, ‘O Romeo’ film had earned Rs 4.85 crore, while the Tuesday ‘O Romeo’ box office collection stood slightly higher at Rs 5.35 crore. The sixth day marked the lowest single day earnings for ‘O Romeo’ yet.
‘O Romeo’ film, which marks the fourth collaboration between Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor, has already crossed the lifetime earnings of ‘Kaminey’ (Rs 41.3 crore) and ‘Rangoon’ (Rs 20.76 rore). The film is expected to breach past the lifetime haul of ‘Haider’, which had made a little more than Rs 55 crore.

The latest Hindi movie has performed significantly better than Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav’s ‘Tu Yaa Main’, which has made just Rs 3.97 crore so far.
Backed by Sajid Nadiwadwala, ‘O Romeo’ also stars Nana Patekar, Farida Jalal, Tamannaah Bhatia and Avinash Tiwary. The film has been panned by critics but the audience reception is mixed.
The going is expected to get tough for ‘O Romeo’ considering two new releases are slated to hit the theatres this week – Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Assi’ and Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s ‘Do Deewane Seher Main’.
Lastly, ‘O Romeo’ has also gone past the lifetime earnings of Shahid Kapoor’s last release ‘Deva’, but it is yet to breach the total collection of ‘Teri Baaton Main Aisa Uljha Jiya’, which had earned Rs 76 crore.
Speaking of Shahid, he has begun shooting for ‘Farzi 2’, helmed by Raj & DK. He will next be seen in ‘Cocktail 2’, alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. The film has been directed by Homi Adjania.
