Ramayana Review - a solid 4.25/5 for me. There are movies that you watch and forget about it sometime later, then there are movies that make you think for a while, then there are movies that you watch and with you could watch it again for the first time some how. Ramayana is that kind of a movie. You'll crave to have this feeling of watching it for the first time again. That's how epic the cinematic experience is. Visuals are nowhere less than avatar X LOTR. Yes Namit promised and did it. Animals look so real that I thought they are straight out of nat Geo. Except kumbhkaran and subahu, all other large creatures are perfect. Even they don't pull you out of the movie. And jatayu mann, that deserves a vfx award. A bafta for sure. That's how good it is, like each micro expression can be seen. The scenery, richness, colours is something we all craved for in recent global cinema. It's that good. Acting performances of all the actors are too good, be it ranbir, sai, lakshman, yash perfectly justifying their role. Sita did deserve more screentime. The movie is filled with goosebumps, and at the same time tears, pre interval and climax will tear you up. Spoiler alert, loved how birds were trying to carry jatayu when he was hurt, and when they picked up small small twiggs to form his chitta. Nitesh shines all over the movie The movie has soul. Alot of soul. Emotions. Logic for everything why it happened. Ravana's backstory comes from uttarkand, where it's mentioned how kaikasi used to manipulate him, after sumali lost, and kuber took over and Rakshasas were banished to the underworlds (rasatal) pretty close story to VR. The prologue sets it up perfectly. Ravana's character therefore is driven by hate, by pure ego. Throughout the film. So much so that he doesn't care about his sister, all he cares about is vishnu and getting immortality. Lust is mentioned explicitly but could have been explored more. Music and score is perfect. Though I personally would not prefer mangal rang during wedding, judi jodi should have been there. The score just uplifts everything every single scene. And it peaks during human to god transformation of lord ram Why did I cut points? I feel the movie deserved to be 3 hour 40 mins, some scenes were cut, which would have made it more better only. Personally felt fast for me. Overall a great movie, must watch at the big screen with family, as I said, it's an experience of a lifetime, once in a decades kind of a movie, the spectacle is never before seen. Nitesh is the best director. Going for round 2 tonight with manager and team.

#Ramayana REVIEW: Breathtaking visuals, monumental scale, and powerful emotions. Yet some moments feel stretched, and the pacing could be tighter. Nitesh Tiwari delivers a grand cinematic experience with flaws, but the impact is epic! 🔥 A spectacle worth witnessing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ https://t.co/mIUOSjzKe3

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Malhotra and Yash have backed the project, which is being developed as a two-part cinematic saga, with the possibility of the story eventually expanding into a trilogy.
On the opening day of its release, 'Ramayana: Part 1' earned Rs 64.85 crore across all languages in India with the Hindi language contributing Rs 47.50 crore.
While the first installment has now reached theatres, audiences will have to wait longer for the next chapter. 'Ramayana Part 2', which was earlier expected to arrive in 2027, has been postponed to 2028. The post credit scene of 'Ramayana: Part 1' also teased Sunny Deol's role of Lord Hanuman. The ending bits of the film also introduced us to the character of Meghanad, Raavan's son, played by Raghav Juyal.
