Bollywood Stars Share Unseen Pics Of Legendary Superstar Dharmendra After His Death
Bollywood stars continue to express their condolences after the death of Dharmendra. Several celebrities have shared unseen photos of the veteran actor, who passed away at the age of 89.
Dharmendra, the evergreen icon whose charm defined an entire era of Hindi cinema, passed away on Monday at the age of 89. His last rites were performed on November 24, with a host of Bollywood’s biggest stars – including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar – arriving to pay their final respects. Even a day after the heart-breaking news, tributes continue to pour in as colleagues, contemporaries and fans honour the ‘He-Man’ of Indian cinema, remembering his legacy as one of the industry’s most beloved superstars.
Several celebrities, including Karan Johar, Ananya Panday, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Varun Dhawan, and Kriti Sanon, shared unseen pictures of the legendary actor on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Priyanka Chopra first shared a picture of Dharmendra from his peak years and then followed it up with an unseen priceless photo of the two. She wrote, “In the year 2001, my first signing amount in the movies came from Vijayta Films. One of the first Hindi movies I ever shot was under his banner, with his eldest son. Him and his family, made me feel welcome in the industry, at a time when no one knew me. Very few people are capable of that kind of warmth and grace, towards a complete newcomer, from Bareilly, who didn’t know anyone in Mumbai.”

Speaking of Dharmendra, he was recovering at home after a major health scare earlier this month. He died at the age of 89 at his residence in Juhu on Monday. He was later cremated in the presence of family members and several of the biggest stars in the industry.
Dharmendra is survived by his two wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and six children, including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Esha Deol. The actor's last film is 'Ikkis', and it will release in cinemas on December 25. He is playing the role of Agastya Nanda's father in the movie helmed by Sriram Raghavan. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat.
Fondly known as the ‘He-Man’ of Indian cinema, Dharmendra delivered countless unforgettable performances across decades. His filmography stands as one of the richest in Hindi cinema, with iconic titles like ‘Sholay’, ‘Dharamveer’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Loafer’, ‘Jugnu’ and ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’ defining generations of movie lovers.
Dharmendra was last seen on screen in 2024 in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, where he played Shahid Kapoor’s grandfather. Before that, he delivered a widely praised performance in Karan Johar’s 2023 film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.
His upcoming film ‘Ikkis’, directed by Sriram Raghavan, is scheduled for release in December, ensuring the legendary star will continue to grace screens even after his passing.
