The wait is finally over for reality television fans. Following months of intense speculation, the highly anticipated ‘Bigg Boss 20’ is officially gearing up for its grand premiere. Celebrating two decades and an all-new avatar, the reality show will return to screens on September 6. The excitement kicked into high gear on Tuesday, when the makers unveiled the very first teaser. The promo features host Salman Khan making a grand, majestic entry on a horse, but it was his cryptic dialogue that instantly broke the internet.

This subtle clue has left viewers actively guessing about the season’s core mystery. Fans are widely speculating whether the ‘Karan Arjun’ reference points to an upcoming collaboration between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, with some wondering if King Khan will co-host or simply join Bhaijaan for the show's grand premiere.

Other popular fan theories suggest that the makers might bring back old contestants, introduce a format where housemates play in pairs, or even crown two winners to fit the “ek se bhale do” angle.
Adding to the intrigue, Salman Khan released an official press statement regarding the new season's theme: “Every season of Bigg Boss brings a fresh game, new dynamics and unexpected twists. But this season, there's a mystery at the heart of it that makes it unlike anything we've seen before. The first hint is already out there, you just have to look at it twice. The teaser is just the beginning, and I can't wait for audiences to start piecing the clues together when Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20 begins.”
While the anticipation is soaring, rumour mills have also been churning regarding the host's remuneration. Several reports suggest that Salman Khan has reduced his fee for this season from Rs 120 crore to Rs 70 crore, though no official confirmation has been made. Additionally, reports indicate that regular production designer Omung Kumar will not be designing the set this year.
The official contestant list remains tightly under wraps, but a massive lineup of celebrities and digital creators have reportedly been approached. Rumoured names include television stars Nia Sharma, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Patel, Jannat Zubair, Mahhi Vij, Geeta Basra, and Ram Kapoor. The digital creator and reality TV space is also heavily represented in the rumoured lineup, featuring Mr Faisu (Faisal Shaikh), Uorfi Javed, Ruru Thakur, Kushal Tanwar (Gullu), Showik Chakraborty, Shreya Kalra, Faiz Baloch, Bhavya Singh, Maxternn, and Dushyant Kukreja. Comedian Sunil Pal is also reportedly in the mix.
This new season follows the success of ‘Bigg Boss 19’, which concluded with TV actor Gaurav Khanna winning the trophy and the Rs 50 lakh prize money, while Farhana Bhatt emerged as the first runner-up.
‘Bigg Boss 20’ is set to be part of a massive pan-India takeover, with six different editions of the reality show airing simultaneously across the country starting this September. For the Hindi edition, viewers can tune in every Monday to Sunday starting September 6, with episodes dropping first on JioHotstar at 9:00 PM, followed by a television broadcast on Colors TV at 10:30 PM.
