However, the showstopper was her second look – a stunning peach-pink and gold silk saree. Whether she was leaning against a rustic laterite stone pillar of a coastal bungalow or sharing a candid laugh on the sofa with her father, Pooja radiated a natural glow. One of the videos in the set captured a close-up of the actress adjusting her hair in this saree, highlighting her heavy traditional jewellery, including a statement choker adorned with pink stones and an emerald drop.

The visit wasn't just about the aesthetics; it was deeply rooted in tradition. Pooja shared several glimpses of her temple visits, where she participated in local rituals. One striking image showed a deity's idol beautifully adorned with layers of yellow and white marigold garlands.

The actress also shared a video of an artist meticulously creating a traditional mural or Rangoli on the floor using coloured powders, depicting a local deity. To add to the sensory experience of her trip, she included a clip of a traditional drum performance (reminiscent of the Chenda Melam), where men in white veshtis played rhythmic beats, capturing the energetic spirit of a Mangalorean temple festival.

No trip to Mangalore is complete without the sea and the food. Pooja’s dump featured a picturesque shot of the sunset where she stood in her silk saree, facing the ocean and making a heart-hand gesture around the setting sun. Another landscape shot captured the serene Mangalore coastline with surfers carrying their boards into the blue waters, showcasing the city's modern-yet-tranquil vibe.

For the foodies, the Indian actress shared a picture of a quintessential South Indian breakfast spread. Served on a traditional bronze plate, the meal included fluffy Neer Dosas, a crispy Medu Vada, coconut chutney, and sambar, along with what appeared to be local delicacies like poha and spicy accompaniments.

Pooja Hegde’s Mangalore diary was more than just a vacation gallery; it was a heartwarming tribute to her heritage. From the rhythmic beats of the temple drums to the quiet moments spent with her father, the Indian beauty reminded her fans that no matter how far you go, there is no place like home.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Pooja Hegde had a busy 2025, starring in the Hindi film ‘Deva’, the Tamil film ‘Retro’, and appearing in the special song in ‘Coolie’. Her film ‘Jana Nayagan’, co-starring Vijay, Mamitha Baiju and Bobby Deol, was slated for a January 9 theatrical release but was stalled due to a delay by Central Board of Film Certification. The new release date is yet to be announced.

Up next, Pooja will be seen in ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ in Hindi, ‘Kanchana 4’ in Tamil, and the yet-untitled ‘DQ 41’ in Telugu.
