Netflix on Wednesday unveiled the trailer of 'Lust Stories 3', bringing together four filmmakers and an ensemble cast for another exploration of love, relationships and desire. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj, the anthology promises stories that move between romance, humour, emotional uncertainty and the choices people make when attraction changes everything. The 2-minute-19-second trailer introduces a collection of characters navigating relationships that are anything but straightforward.
From difficult marriages to unexpected attractions, the film appears to examine how desire can challenge the lives people have carefully built for themselves.

The trailer features Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Siddharth, Ali Fazal and Gurfateh Pirzada.
Aditi’s character offers one of the trailer’s most memorable observations, comparing women to candles rather than light bulbs. The imagery suggests a story interested in the emotional intensity of desire and the ways it can consume, transform or complicate a person’s life. Elsewhere, Konkona’s character tells Radhika Apte that they must be ready for “fireworks”, before adding a distinctly local touch by reminding her that they are in Kandivali. The exchange hints at the anthology’s blend of intimacy, humour and everyday settings.
Radhika Madan and Ali Fazal appear to be dealing with a strained marriage, while Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth’s story seems to take a different route through attraction and relationships. The trailer keeps the details of each narrative under wraps, allowing the characters and their interactions to create the intrigue.
Vikramaditya Motwane said he was interested in the tension between the comfort of everyday life and the desire for something unexpected. He described his story as an exploration of that space with warmth, humour and unpredictability.
"What drew me to Lust Stories 3 was the chance to explore what happens when the comfort of everyday life begins to rub up against the desire for something unexpected, and this story allowed me to explore that space with warmth, humour and a little bit of unpredictability," he said in an official release.
Kiran Rao, meanwhile, focused on the way attraction can quickly become complicated. She said she wanted to explore how desire can make people take chances they would not normally consider, and how those choices can lead to unexpected consequences.
"What interested me about this story was how the first sparks of an attraction can quickly become something far more complicated. Desire makes us curious, and sometimes willing to take chances we normally wouldn’t. I was interested in what happens when those choices begin to have unexpected consequences," said Kiran Rao.
'Lust Stories 3' will premiere on September 18 on Netflix.
