Amitabh Bachchan's 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 16' has found the first Crorepati of the ongoing edition.

Amitabh Bachchan's uber-popular reality game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ has been going on for several years. It has witnessed many heart-warming, inspiring and funny stories. Fans were eagerly waiting for the ongoing 16th edition to find its first crorepati, and the wait is finally over. On Wednesday, a 22-year-old UPSC aspirant named Chander Prakash became the season's first crorepati. The youngster, hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, failed to crack the jackpot Rs 7 crore question. However, he did end up winning Rs 1 crore on the show. As a result, he also won a car.

In the video shared by Sony TV, Big B can be seen exclaiming, “Ek crore,” after Chander Prakash rightly answered the question. He also announced that Chander Prakash has won a car.

During his stint, Chander Prakash also opened up about the health obstacles he has faced in his life. He revealed that he had to undergo surgeries because of a heart condition.

Listening to Chander Prakash, Amitabh Bachchan said, “Mere babu ji ne kaha – beta, jab tak jeevan hai, tab tak sangharsh hai.”

For the unversed, the Rs 1 crore question was, “The largest city in which country is not its capital but a port with an Arabic name that means ‘abode of peace’? The options were: A) Somalia, B) Oman, C) Tanzania, and D) Brunei.”

Chander Prakash ended up giving the right answer, which was Tanzania.

The 7 crore question that was asked, was, “Who was the first recorded child born to English parents in North America in 1587?”

Meanwhile, on the film front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic 'Kalki 2898 AD'. It also starred Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani.

The 2024 movie made over Rs 640 crore in India and Rs 1042.25 crore worldwide, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
