Two months after its release ‘Dhurandhar’ continues to dominate the box office, proving that the frenzy around the Ranveer Singh-led action spectacle is far from over. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the high-octane spy thriller has not only exceeded expectations but also rewritten record books, emerging as the highest-grossing film of 2025. On Tuesday, February 17, the makers announced that the film has successfully completed 75 days in theatres – a milestone few films manage to achieve in today’s fast-paced cinematic landscape.

Co-producer B62 Studios marked the achievement on X (formerly Twitter) by sharing a celebratory poster that read, “Celebrating 75 days of Ghatak run in cinemas.” The caption added, “Running on DHURANDHAR energy and your ghatak love! Unstoppable 75 days of #Dhurandhar in cinemas,” highlighting the film’s sustained momentum and fan support.

The numbers tell an extraordinary story. ‘Dhurandhar’ has collected over Rs 830 crore in India, becoming the first Bollywood film to cross the Rs 800 crore mark domestically. On the global front, the film has raked in more than Rs 1,300 crore worldwide – the highest ever for a Hindi-language film. It surpassed the Rs 1,080 crore earned by the original version of Jawan and the Rs 1,087 crore earned by the Hindi dub of ‘Pushpa 2’.

Notably, no other Hindi film has previously crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark globally. Adding to its record-breaking run, ‘Dhurandhar’ also became the first film to collect over Rs 10 crore for 28 consecutive days at the domestic box office.

The film follows the gripping journey of an Indian spy (Ranveer Singh) sent deep into Pakistan’s Lyari to infiltrate a dangerous Baloch gang. Ranveer Singh headlines the film as Hamza Ali Mazari, also known as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. Akshaye Khanna portrays Rehman Dakait, the formidable gang leader. The ensemble cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.

Building on the film’s phenomenal success, a sequel titled ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is already in the pipeline. The second installment is scheduled for a grand Eid release on March 19, 2026, in Hindi and all South Indian languages. It is set to clash at the box office with Geetu Mohandas and Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups’, which is slated to release on the same day.
