Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ teaser is finally here.

The countdown to one of the most anticipated Hindi films of the year has officially begun. On Tuesday afternoon, the makers of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ dropped the teaser of the sequel, titled ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, unleashing Hamza’s blood-soaked revenge saga. The film is set to conclude filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise, which began with the first installment released in December. The teaser shows Ranveer Singh’s character Jaskirat, also known as Hamza, pushing his mission forward.

The gory, action-heavy montage traces his rise within the underworld of Lyari and features glimpses of Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal.

However, several fans were quick to point out that the teaser appeared to be largely identical to the end-credit scene shown at the end of the first ‘Dhurandhar’.

As a result, a section of netizens was left extremely disappointed. When the teaser was announced, many had hoped to see fresh footage from the upcoming film – especially scenes featuring a younger Jaskirat Singh Rangi and flashback moments with Akshaye Khanna’s character Rehman Dakait. Instead, viewers felt they were presented with an edited version of the end-credit sequence, with no new visuals.

The comments section of the YouTube video quickly reflected this sentiment. One user commented, “Oye choona laga diya choona, ye to movie ke last wala hi teaser dikha diya.”

Another one added, “This is the same. No new visual.” A third one complained, “Scam kar diya re scam.”

“Scam kar diya Aditya Dhar ne teaser bol ke,” a comment read. Another disappointed user said, “I really thought they would show something new.”

That said, not everyone was unhappy. Some fans defended the makers, arguing that the ‘less is more’ approach works in building intrigue. “I’m glad they’re not showing the whole film in the teaser. I’d rather watch it in theatres,” one user commented.

X (formerly Twitter) is also flooded with similar reactions to the recently released teaser.

Earlier in the day, Ranveer Singh had unveiled the film’s first look and officially revealed its title. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday morning, the actor shared a poster showing himself drenched in rain and bathed in red light. “Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai,” he wrote in the caption, hinting that Hamza will go all out against the Baloch gang and the ISI in the sequel.

Ranveer also confirmed the release details, writing, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge Teaser Out Today at 12:12 PM. Releasing in cinemas worldwide on 19th March 2026 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam.”

Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar’ released on December 5 and followed Ranveer’s Indian spy as he infiltrated Karachi’s underworld to dismantle its nexus with terror groups. The film also starred Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal, all of whom are returning for the sequel. The first film went on to become one of the biggest hits in Bollywood history, earning over Rs 1300 crore worldwide.

‘Dhurandhar’, also featuring Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, made its digital debut last weekend on Netflix. For those yet to watch it, the film is now streaming, setting the stage for ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, which is expected to storm theatres next month. Notably, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ will clash at the box office with ‘Toxic’, starring Yash, on March 19.
