The emotional post saw instant reactions from Bobby Deol, who commented with a string of heart emojis. Bobby Deol and Esha Deol also shared the clip on their own handles with heartfelt messages.

The BTS footage captured a deeply humble and grateful Dharmendra. He expressed his immense joy working with Maddock Films and director Sriram Raghavan, suggesting the film is a must-watch for audiences in both India and Pakistan.

In a particularly touching moment, the veteran actor can be seen cutting a cake to mark his final day of shooting alongside director Sriram Raghavan and actor Jaideep Ahlawat.

With a poignant smile, he admitted feeling sad about the shoot ending and concluded with a message that now feels like a final goodbye: “I love you all. Kuch kahi koi galti ho gayi ho toh uske liye kshama karna.”

‘Ikkis’ is not just a farewell to a legend; it is a high-stakes war drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, one of India's youngest Param Vir Chakra recipients during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.

The film features Agastya Nanda (Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson) in his second outing after ‘The Archies’, and marks the debut of Simar Bhatia (Akshay Kumar’s niece). Originally slated for a Christmas 2025 release, the film has been pushed back to January 1, 2026, making it the first major cinematic event of the new year.

Amidst the promotion of her father's final work, Esha Deol shared an honest note about her ongoing struggle with grief. She revealed she is returning to professional commitments she had on hold, though she admitted she would prefer to take a break from social media if she could.

“Please understand me as a human & most importantly as a daughter who is still grieving... a loss I would never get over,” she wrote, asking for kindness and understanding from the public.

Dharmendra passed away just days before his 90th birthday (December 8) and was cremated in Mumbai on November 24. ‘Ikkis’ now stands as a monumental tribute to a career that spanned decades and touched millions.
