The gravity of the situation was underscored by the immediate arrival of his family. Salman Khan was spotted at the hospital looking visibly sombre, sporting a black T-shirt and a cap. Surrounded by heavy security, the superstar kept a low profile and avoided media interaction as he rushed inside.
Other family members present at the hospital include: Alvira Khan Agnihotri and her husband Atul Agnihotri and Aayush Sharma (son-in-law).
The wider family has been seen arriving and departing throughout the day, with videos of their arrival circulating widely on social media.

This health scare comes just months after Salim Khan celebrated his 90th birthday on November 24. At the time, his daughter Arpita Khan shared a moving tribute on social media, including family photographs and a caption referring to her father as her “galaxy”.
On social media, the mood is one of deep concern. Fans have flooded platforms with prayers, with comments ranging from “Get well soon, Salim sir” to “May Allah bless him with the fastest recovery and good health.”
To understand the outpouring of concern, one must look at the monumental impact Salim Khan has had on Indian cinema. Alongside Javed Akhtar, he revolutionized storytelling in the 1970s and 80s. They were the architects of the ‘Angry Young Man’ persona, catapulting Amitabh Bachchan to superstardom with hits like ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Deewar’, and ‘Don’. His filmography includes the greatest film ever made, ‘Sholay’, as well as Trishul.
Even after the duo parted ways, Salim Khan continued to pen hits such as ‘Naam ‘(1986), ‘Angaaray’ (1986), ‘Kabzaa’ (1988), and ‘Jurm’ (1990).
Salim Khan’s personal life is as much a part of Bollywood lore as his scripts. He married Salma Khan (born Sushila Charak) in 1964. They have four children: Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail, and Alvira.
In 1981, he entered a second marriage with actress Helen, whom he met on the sets of ‘Don’.
The family later expanded with the adoption of Arpita Khan, maintaining a famously close-knit, multi-generational household.
