You are not ready for this. Quite literally. Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’ is set to release in Japan. The makers of the film unveiled an international poster, and it looks dope. The new Hindi film, which broke all sorts of records in India, hopes to make a place for itself in the hearts of the Japanese audience when it hits theatres in July this year. According to the official announcement, ‘Dhurandhar’ will release in Japan on July 10, 2026.

“It’s time for Japan to experience the Dhurandhar energy! Arriving in theatres across Japan on 10.7.2026,” the official post read.

Speaking of Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’, it was released in theatres in December 2025. After getting off to a slow start at the box office, the film rode on the positive word of mouth and earned a whopping Rs 840 crore in India and more than Rs 1,000 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk.
The film's sequel, titled ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, hit the theatres on March 19, 2026, and the project shattered all existing records to emerge as a true box office phenomenon. On Wednesday, the 42nd day of its release, the film earned Rs 1 crore in India, taking its total collection to a massive Rs 1,133.94 crore. Worldwide, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has minted Rs 1,782.15 crore.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, ‘Dhurandhar’ also stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Danish Pandor. The film narrates the story of an Indian spy who infiltrates Lyari's underworld in Pakistan. The plot weaves together a series of true-life events such as the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and events surrounding Operation Lyari.
The sequel then showed how Ranveer's character, named Jaskirat Singh Ranghi, was trained to become Hamza Ali Mazari.
