Ranveer Singh Apologised To 'Dhamaal 4' Star Anjali Anand. Here's Why
Anjali Anand has opened up about a touching moment involving Ranveer Singh.
Indian actress Anjali Anand has opened up about a touching moment from the sets of Karan Johar's 2023 romantic drama 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', revealing a side of co-star Ranveer Singh that left a lasting impression on her. Reflecting on her experience, the Bollywood actress recalled how a delay in the shooting schedule on her very first day led Ranveer to personally apologise, despite the circumstances being beyond his control.
Anjali Anand described the gesture as thoughtful and genuine, highlighting the actor's humility and consideration towards his co-stars. For the unversed, Anjali played the role of Ranveer's sister in the romantic comedy film, which also starred Alia Bhatt, the late Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
"Working with Ranveer was incredible. Every scene with him was so much fun because he's such a motivating and generous co-actor. I remember on my first day of shoot, we couldn't complete my scene," Anjali told India Today.
"I'd already posted on Instagram saying I couldn't wait for my first day on such a big film. Ranveer saw it and came up to me saying, 'I'm so sorry.' I told him, 'Ranveer, only you know my scene didn't happen. Everyone else thinks I shot today," she added.
Anjali Anand also revealed that she has maintained a good friendship with Ranveer, and she often exchanges messages with him, despite not starring a film together after 'Rocky Aur Rani'.
"What touched me was how sensitive he was. He genuinely apologised that my scene couldn't be filmed because his schedule had run late. The next day, he made sure he was present for my shoot. After my scene, he even went and took feedback from the team before coming back to encourage me. That meant a lot," Anjali shared.
"We've stayed in touch over the years. We meet at friends' weddings and other social gatherings, and he's always just as lovely. I watched Dhurandhar — I loved it. That hair flip was too good. He's absolutely killing it, and I'm so happy for him. He deserves all this success and so much more. I love him," Anjali added.
The actress was recently seen in Indra Kumar's ‘Dhamaal 4’ alongside Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Esha Gupta, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles. On Thursday, the film made Rs 6 crore in India, taking the total seven-day collection to Rs 96 crore. The comedy project is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark today.
