In a turn of events that no student or celebrity saw coming, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially entered its “Gen Z era”. Just days after breaking the internet with a “Rickroll” hidden in a Class 12 Maths paper, the board is back in the headlines. This time, it involves none other than the internet’s favourite "liver," Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, and a Class 12 History exam paper. The buzz started when Orry shared a video featuring Khushi Kapoor that has since sent fans into a frenzy.

“Wait, what is that? Is that the CBSE exam paper?” Orry asks in the video, his face a mix of confusion and pure entertainment. As the camera pans, it’s revealed that the paper contains a QR code. When Orry scans the code using his smartphone, it doesn't lead to a historical archive or a marking scheme. Instead, it redirects to pictures of Orry and information about him.

The reaction that followed was priceless. Boney Kapoor exclaimed, “If you have made it to the CBSE exam paper, you have arrived!”

Throughout the video, a clip of Ananya Panday’s video is also playing in which her cousin, Alanna Pandey, had captured her earlier reaction of her face featuring on a cracker (phuljhadi) packet. Drawing parallels between the two, Orry captioned his video “CBSE paper is the new phuljadi packet.”

The comment section on Orry’s post was a star-studded affair. Ananya Panday, sticking to her playful rivalry seen in the video, commented, “Still not as cool as me,” while Janhvi Kapoor seemed confused about the timeline, asking, “You were home yesterday?????”

According to several reports, the incident occurred during the Class 12 History examination held recently. Students who scanned the QR code printed on the paper – likely intended for digital learning resources – were redirected to Orry’s social media. Adding to the hilarity, Orry pointed out in the video that the profile name on the redirect said “Ori” instead of the usual spelling.

This isn't the first time the CBSE 2026 exams have featured digital surprises. Earlier, a QR code in a Mathematics paper reportedly “Rickrolled” students by leading them to Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. Netizens are now calling the paper-setter the “ultimate Gen Z”, with many joking that the board is finally “speaking the language” of the students.

Internet users are in splits, with many expressing extreme shock. While some find it a brilliant marketing or technical prank, others are questioning how such a redirect ended up on an official national board document.

Regardless of how it happened, one thing is certain: Orry has officially transitioned from Bollywood parties to the annals of (History) exam papers.
