Following their Mumbai wedding on Monday, July 6, Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar wrapped up their nuptial celebrations with a spectacular, star-studded grand reception on Tuesday. The couple, who began dating in 2022 and got engaged on October 2, 2025, made sure their finale was one for the books, transforming the evening into a memorable extravaganza filled with music, dance, and sheer joy. The reception was a blast from the past, heavily sprinkled with a delightful dose of ’90s nostalgia.

A quirky setup enchanted the attendees, featuring a table neatly arranged with retro cassette tapes – including ‘Pop of the Pops’ – old-school candies, and vintage memorabilia. The newlyweds themselves were the life of the party, spotted tearing up the dance floor. In one of the viral inside photos, groom Rohan Thakkar made a statement in a quirky T-shirt that proudly read, “Boyfriend + Fiancé = Husband, EST. 2026.”
However, it was the bride’s sister, Janhvi Kapoor, who truly brought the house down. Bringing an infectious energy to the festivities, Janhvi took over the dhol.
While she initially turned heads arriving in a stunning saree paired with a backless blouse, she later slipped into a comfortable yet elegant suit to fully enjoy the celebrations. Inside videos captured her enthusiastically beating the dhol as her friend Orhan Awatramani (Orry) danced along. Joining the dhol-beating revelry were Janhvi’s boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya and sister Khushi Kapoor.

Social media sensation Orry served as the unofficial photographer of the night, giving fans a glamorous glimpse into the festivities. He shared a series of inside pictures posing with icons like Rekha, Boney Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and filmmaker Atlee along with his wife Priya. One moment that completely caught the internet’s attention was Alia Bhatt’s glowing appearance. Alia was seen sharing a fun-filled, candid moment with Orry, and their cheerful pictures quickly made their way online, becoming a fast favourite among fans.
Elevating the celebratory atmosphere was singer and composer Himesh Reshammiya, who turned the reception into a live musical concert. Enthralling the crowd with his iconic chartbusters ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’, Himesh had the guests, the newlyweds, and Anshula’s brother Arjun Kapoor singing and dancing along to every beat.
Speaking of Arjun Kapoor, the actor played the perfect elder brother, affectionately dubbed the “dulhan ka bhai.” Looking incredibly dapper in a traditional ensemble, a visibly emotional and delighted Arjun stepped out into the heavy Mumbai rains to greet the paparazzi with folded hands.
In a sweet gesture that has since won hearts all over the internet, he warmly thanked the media for showering his sister with love and covering the wedding so warmly. Before urging the photographers to head home safely, he thoughtfully requested that they eat dinner first.
The entire Kapoor clan turned up in full force to support Anshula, including father Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Shanaya Kapoor.
