Jaideep Ahlawat is one of the finest actors the country has ever produced. He is known for projects like 'Paatal Lok', 'Jaane Jaan', 'Three Of Us', and 'Raazi', among others. He was most recently seen in the Netflix film 'Maharaj', in which, he plays the role of Jadunath Maharaj, a powerful godman in pre-Independence India. Jaideep Ahlawat is playing a negative character, who preys on the weak and subjugated. For the unversed, 'Maharaj' also marks the acting debut of Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan.

In the latest entertainment news, Jaideep Ahlawat shared a phenomenal transformation video, in which the actor can be seen working towards achieving a lean and muscular body for 'Maharaj'.

Taking to Instagram, Jaideep Ahlawat wrote, "Montage bannane ke liye pehli body banane padti hai. Thank you @prajwal7542 Sir. Kaash …body bannana, montage banane jitna aasaan hota. Morphing into a different character with each movie is every actors dream, I just so happen to be living out mine."

Earlier, Jaideep Ahlawat had also shared several pictures from his 'Maharaj' shoot days. He spoke about how he lost close to 26kgs for the role in just five months.

"From 109.7 Kg. to 83 Kg. in 5 month. That’s the Physical Transformation for the Role of Maharaj. Thank you Prajwal Sir for believing in me @prajwal7542," Jaideep wrote.

Jaideep's post included before and after pictures of the actor. He has a big belly in the picture from five months ago, while in the latest picture, he has a toned upper body and arms. 

Speaking with news agency ANI about his transformation, Jaideep said, "So, for almost 5.5 months of intense physical training, because of what JJ is visible on the screen, my trainer, worked very hard on me. We did 3-4 times workouts a day."

"So credit goes to everybody. I'm just an instrument for transforming all those energies created by these people," he added.

'Maharaj' is based on true incidents that took place in 1862, pre-independence India. The film follows the journey of one of India’s greatest social reformers, Karsandas Mulji. 

This David vs. Goliath story showcases one man’s courage to stand against the injustices of his time. 

For the unversed, 'Maharaj' was slated to be released in cinemas on June 14, but the film's release on Netflix faced objections from certain sections, who claimed that the Hindi film offends their religious sentiments.
