Aamir Khan's Son Junaid Khan Opens Up On His Acting Debut, Calls 'Maharaj' "Long And Wild Journey"
Here's what Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan had to say about 'Maharaj'.

Bollywood star Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan has made his acting debut with Netflix film 'Maharaj'. The new Hindi movie finally premiered on Netflix on Friday evening after the Gujarat High Court lifted the stay on its release. The movie has been receiving favourable reviews, and Junaid Khan is also earning appreciation for his work in the film, which has been backed by Yash Raj Films (YRF) Entertainment.
For the unversed, 'Maharaj' is based on one of the greatest legal battles in Indian history, the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case. The new Hindi film is directed by Sidharth P Malhotra and produced by YRF Entertainment. Apart from Junaid Khan, 'Maharaj' also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey in pivotal roles and it also features a special appearance by Sharvari Wagh.
“I cannot explain in words what I’m feeling right now. Maharaj has been a long and wild journey for me, but all’s well that ends well I guess. Maharaj was made with a lot of love and respect and passion and I’m glad that the film and my performance is striking a chord with audience at large," said Junaid Khan.
“I know I have miles to go and lots to improve upon. I just hope I get a cast and crew as supportive in all my future work," he said further.
'Maharaj' is based on true incidents that took place in 1862, pre-independence India. The film follows the journey of one of India’s greatest social reformers, Karsandas Mulji.
This David vs. Goliath story showcases one man’s courage to stand against the injustices of his time.
For the unversed, 'Maharaj' was slated to be released in cinemas on June 14, but the film's release on Netflix faced objections from certain sections, who claimed that the Hindi film offends their religious sentiments.
Junaid Khan is the son of Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena Dutta. Apart from ‘Maharaj’, Junaid Khan is working on two other films.
He will make his debut as a producer with ‘Pritam Pyaare’, which will have an extended guest appearance by Aamir Khan.
Junaid Khan will also star alongside Sai Pallavi in a film backed by Aamir Khan Productions.
