Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha Finally On A Flight Back Home After Being Stranded In Israel During Hamas Terror Attack
For the unversed, the actress was in Haifa for the screening of her film 'Akelli'.

Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha who was stranded in Israel after the terror attack by Hamas, is finally being brought back home to India, reported NDTV. Earlier, it emerged that the actress' team had lost contact with her after Hamas' terror attack sparked a full-blown war in Israel. "We have finally managed to get in touch with Nushrratt and with the help of the Embassy, she is being safely brought back home," NDTV quoted the actress' team as saying.
"We did not get a direct flight so she is on a connecting flight home. For her further safety, more details cannot be shared but as soon as she lands in India, we will inform you. We are relieved and thank god that she is safe and on her way to India," the statement added.
For the unversed, the 38-year-old actress had travelled to Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival. She had gone there to attend a maiden screening of her film 'Akelli'.
Apart from Nushrratt Bharuccha, the movie also stars Tsahi Halevi and Amir Boutrous. Both these actors became household names after their appearance in the hit series 'Fauda'.
Earlier, Nushrratt Bharuccha's team had said that they had lost contact with the actress.
"Nushrratt has been unfortunately stranded in Israel. She had flown there to attend the Haifa International Film Festival," read the statement.
"The last time that I managed to get in touch with her was around 12.30 pm earlier today, when she was safe in a basement. For safety measures, further details cannot be disclosed. However, since then, we were not able to connect. We are trying to get Nushrratt back safely to India and hope she returns back in the best of health and unharmed," the statement further stated.
For the uninitiated, a full-fledged war broke out between the militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Israel, reported India Today.
It all started with the Hamas militants firing more than 5,000 rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israel and they had also captured several Israeli soldiers near the border.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, then stated that his country "was at war" and said Hamas would "pay a price" for launching an attack on Israel, as per India Today.
