Singer Rahul Vaidya was among those stranded in knee-deep waters after Dubai was battered by torrential rain. In the latest Bollywood celebrity news, Rahul Vaidya took to Instagram Stories to share a video of himself holding his sneakers as he tries to wade through the water. Captioning the post, Rahul Vaidya wrote, "It's quite bad here... Habibi welcome to Dubai". The video is now being posted on social media by several users, and it is safe to say that it is going insanely viral.

Rahul Vaidya also shared several other pictures and videos of flooded roads and submerged cars. The 'Bigg Boss 14' contestant also said that the situation was so bad even when it rained for just two hours.

"It rained only for two hours and this is what has happened. I don't think Dubai is used to heavy rains. Everything has come to a standstill," he said in a video posted on Instagram Stories.

For the unversed, Rahul Vaidya gained limelight after participating in the first season of 'Indian Idol'. He has sung songs like 'Do Chaar Din', 'Keh Do Na' and 'Tera Intezaar' among others. He is currently married to TV actress Disha Parmar.

Talking about Dubai, the Middle East's financial centre has been battered by heavy rain, which caused floods across the UAE and Bahrain. 

As per NDTV, Dubai's international airport also diverted numerous incoming flights as a result of the downpour. Major tourist centres such as Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates both suffered flooding and water was ankle-deep in at least one Dubai Metro station, as per images posted on social media.
