Trolls aside, Alia’s Cannes 2026 wardrobe – expertly curated by stylist Rhea Kapoor – was a massive hit. She kicked off her appearances at the Hôtel Martinez in a landscape-print ball gown by Yash Patil. For the opening ceremony, she stunned in a coral-toned custom haute couture gown by Tamara Ralph, accessorised with a breathtaking necklace featuring 168.27 carats of rare pink coral.
She later inaugurated the Bharat Pavilion alongside filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, turning heads in a custom draped ivory chanderi dhoti skirt and soft sculpted corset by Tarun Tahiliani, complete with a romantic lace parasol. For the screening of La Vie d'Une Femme, she channelled her inner princess in an ice-blue dramatic gown. Finally, at a special L'Oréal dinner, she wore a vintage-inspired deep burgundy and muted ivory corset-style ensemble, also by Tarun Tahiliani. During the festival, she was also spotted mingling with fellow brand ambassadors Jane Fonda, Heidi Klum, and F1 racer Carlos Sainz.
Her breathtaking looks earned massive praise from her peers and family. Neetu Kapoor called her look "perfection," while Kareena Kapoor Khan commented, "Uffff." Anil Kapoor declared her "phenomenal," and Soni Razdan praised stylist Rhea Kapoor for outdoing herself. Global stars and colleagues like Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza, and Sunny Leone also showered her posts with love, proving that her star power is undeniable. This year’s triumph follows her 2025 Cannes debut, where she wore a custom Schiaparelli creation.
On the professional front, Alia Bhatt shows no signs of slowing down. She is gearing up for the July 10, 2026 release of the highly anticipated spy-action thriller ‘Alpha’. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film is the seventh installment in the YRF Spy Universe and co-stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Sharvari.
