Speaking in Telugu, he first appealed to the crowd to quiet down, saying, “Can you all be silent, please?” When the noise continued briefly, he repeated the instruction in English, telling them, “I said quiet… quiet.” The crowd gradually settled after his request, to which Jr NTR responded calmly with, “Good. Thanks.”
The incident has triggered mixed reactions online. While some users praised the actor for handling the situation firmly, others discussed the chaos caused by the overwhelming fan turnout. One social media user wrote, “They actually listened… nice.” Another commented, “It's good when celebrities remind people of decency otherwise they shout and make a nuisance, at least they listen to their favourite celebrity’s word.” A third user added, “He knows how to control his audience.”
Several other videos from the event showed the scale of the disruption caused by the crowd. Fans can be seen shouting slogans, waving excitedly at the actor and trying to move closer to him despite security measures at the venue. In the rush to enter the building and reach the area where Jr NTR was expected to appear, many people reportedly crowded onto an escalator inside the hospital complex. The uncontrolled surge ended up damaging the escalator, forcing authorities to temporarily block access to that section of the building.
Police officials stationed at the hospital had to intervene to restore order as the crowd continued pushing forward. According to reports, officers eventually resorted to a mild lathi charge to disperse fans and bring the situation under control.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Jr NTR was last seen in the action thriller ‘War 2’, which released in August 2025. The film marked his highly anticipated Bollywood debut, where he starred alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani.
Despite the buzz surrounding the big-budget project, the film did not perform as strongly as expected at the box office. It reportedly earned Rs 364 crore worldwide, which was lower than the collections of the first installment and fell short of its break-even point.
Currently, Jr NTR is focusing on his upcoming Telugu projects. He is working on the action-drama ‘Dragon’, directed by Prashanth Neel, which is currently in production and includes international shooting schedules. The film is expected to release in 2026.
In addition, the actor is also likely to return for ‘Devara 2’, which is expected to hit theatres next year.
