Watch: Jr NTR Protects Hrithik Roshan From Fan Chaos At ‘War 2’ Event
'War 2', directed by Ayan Mukerji and starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, has finally released in theatres.
Ayan Mukerji’s ‘War 2’, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, has finally hit theatres. It is the latest addition to Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) Spy Universe. Opening to mixed-to-negative reviews, the film faces the tough task of competing with Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Coolie’ at the box office. Ahead of its release, the makers held a grand pre-release event in Hyderabad, where Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan shared warm camaraderie and delighted fans – a moment that stood in stark contrast to the fierce onscreen rivalry their film promises.
At one moment during the event, Jr NTR even stepped in to protect Hrithik Roshan. In a viral video, the 'RRR' star can be seen appearing beside Hrithik and making way for him to walk safely amid fan frenzy.
Jr NTR is now winning praise for his act and several videos of the same have gone viral on social media.

For the unversed, thousands of supporters turned up at Yusufguda Grounds for the 'War 2' event, which was attended by Hrithik, Jr NTR and director Ayan Mukerji.
According to Hindustan Times, the local authorities employed over 1,200 police officers alongside drones, barricades, and stringent security measures.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, 'War 2' sold 7,52,694 tickets for the opening day, grossing Rs 20.57 crore. On the other hand, 'Coolie' sold 17,30,261 tickets for Day 1 in advance booking, grossing Rs 37.20 crore.
‘War 2’ is the latest addition to the YRF Spy Universe. Hrithik Roshan returns as Kabir, this time facing off against Jr NTR’s character in what promises to be a high-octane action thriller.
Featuring adrenaline-fuelled stunts, intense drama, and chart-topping numbers, the film released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil on August 14.
‘War 2’ is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. ‘War 2’ is the sixth film in the YRF Spy Universe after ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Tiger 3’.
‘War’, which released in October 2019, starred Hrithik Roshan alongside Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor. In ‘War’, Hrithik Roshan essayed the role of rogue RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal and Tiger Shroff was his protégé Khalid Rahmani.
The film was directed by Siddharth Anand and turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of 2019 with a collection of over Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office.
