If you are someone who has left his or her hometown to move somewhere else in search of better work opportunities, you would know how it feels to be torn between two cities and the difficulty of choosing one as their favourite. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone left Bengaluru as she moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting and modelling career. She has now finally answered the burning question that always leaves her scratching her head -- choosing one place between Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Deepika Padukone candidly admitted that choosing between her workplace Mumbai and hometown Bengaluru is difficult as both cities have played a major role in shaping her life. The Bollywood actress took to Instagram to share a video in which she talked about her fondness for both the cities. She was then asked “Bombay or Bengaluru” as she was getting her hair styled.

“A question I get asked ever so often…Bengaluru or Mumbai?” Deepika Padukone wrote as the caption.

When someone from behind the camera asked her if she misses Corner House, a famous dessert spot in Bengaluru, Deepika replied, “I do miss it, but I’m actually in a way glad there isn’t one in Mumbai because that would require a different level of willpower.”

“Whenever I come back to Bengaluru, it feels like home, you know, because this is where I’ve lived a large part of my life. This is where I’ve grown up, my friends, my school, my college, so all of those formative years and those experiences have all been here,” she added.

Speaking about Mumbai, Deepika said, “Mumbai again because professionally, that’s where my life began and that’s where home is now, and the energy in Mumbai is very very different, so it’s very difficult to choose one over the other. But I feel like both cities have really influenced my 39 years.”

Deepika Padukone's latest Instagram post also featured nostalgic montage featuring rare photos from her childhood, school, and college days in Bengaluru. The snapshots were merged with throwback pictures from her early modelling days in Mumbai.
