Jr NTR danced his heart out at the Japan premiere of ‘Devara: Part 1’, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
Actor Jr NTR recently flew to Japan with director Koratala Siva for special screenings of their 2024 film ‘Devara: Part 1’. And it looks like the love for the Telugu superstar is alive and thriving overseas. At a recent screening in Tokyo, Jr NTR met a Japanese fan who had dressed up exactly like his on-screen character from ‘Devara’ — and what followed was nothing short of a celebration. The fan, popular Japanese comedian Kintalo, showed up in full costume and stole the spotlight when he danced to the film’s track ‘Ayudha Pooja’.
The cherry on top? Jr NTR joined in, dancing alongside Kintalo to loud cheers from the audience. A video of the moment, shared by a Japanese fan page dedicated to ‘Devara: Part 1’, captured the duo in perfect sync as they brought the house down with their energetic moves.

For the unversed, 'Devara: Part 1' is set to release in Japan on March 28, 2025, in both IMAX and regular formats.
This trip marks Jr NTR’s return to Japan after his 2022 visit for the screening of SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, which had released in the country after its blockbuster run in India.
Expressing his gratitude during the Devara premiere, Jr NTR said, “I am grateful for the connection with the people of Japan. This is a special film full of soul. I hope you enjoy it.”
Reflecting on the global impact of RRR, he added, “Thanks to Japan, we won an Oscar. Now this feels like my home. I hope you continue to enjoy Indian films and support them.”
Kintalo, who shared hugs and photos with Jr NTR, later posted the pictures on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), calling the experience of dancing with the star a total “blast”.
Directed by Koratala Siva, ‘Devara: Part 1’ was released in September 2024 and was a box office hit.
According to Sacnilk, the film raked in Rs 292.03 crore net in India and a whopping Rs 421.63 crore worldwide. Despite mixed reviews, it found commercial success and wide appreciation for Jr NTR’s double role performance — portraying both father (Devara) and son (Vara).
The film also starred Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Shine Tom Chacko in key roles.
