Alia Bhatt stuns in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree.

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt’s fashion sensibility has always been rooted in quiet elegance rather than overt drama. Whether she is championing homegrown designers, handloom textiles, or pared-back silhouettes, the actress consistently favours looks that feel intimate, thoughtful, and deeply Indian at heart. Over the years, her style evolution has leaned into understated luxury – where craftsmanship, texture, and cultural relevance take centre stage. Alia’s sartorial choices often celebrate tradition through a modern lens, proving that timeless fashion doesn’t need excess to make a lasting impact.

For this appearance, Alia Bhatt embraced old-world opulence in a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble, centred around a diaphanous Dhakai Jamdani saree. Taking to Instagram, stylist and filmmaker Rhea Kapoor shared alluring images of Alia in the saree.

A stunning video of Alia Bhatt in the beautiful saree was shared on Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s Instagram page.

Have a look at the video here:

Rendered in a soft olive-pista green hue, the handwoven saree served as a masterclass in textile heritage, crafted over several months using the intricate Jamdani technique that originates from Bengal and Bangladesh.

The sheer fabric was delicately woven with gilded motifs that caught the light subtly, while the border was elevated with fine silver and gold zardozi embroidery, lending the saree a regal yet restrained finish. The fluid drape allowed the craftsmanship to breathe, creating a look that felt ceremonial without being heavy.

Complementing the saree was a custom white chikankari blouse, also by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Featuring a deep plunging neckline and full sleeves, the blouse showcased Lucknowi chikankari at its most refined. The delicate shadow-work embroidery formed an elegant contrast against the sheer Jamdani, while naqshi detailing and subtle sequin accents along the edges added just the right amount of shimmer. The blouse’s sculpted fit and clean structure balanced the softness of the saree, grounding the look in sophistication.

Accessories were kept minimal and deeply traditional. Alia Bhatt skipped heavy jewellery in favour of vintage-style kanauti earrings, believed to be from Sunita Kapoor’s personal collection, which added a touch of heirloom charm. She also wore classic red bangles, introducing a pop of colour that beautifully punctuated the muted palette and nodded to festive traditions.

Her beauty look echoed the ensemble’s understated grace. Alia opted for a dewy, natural base with softly flushed cheeks, kohl-rimmed eyes, and a hint of shimmer on the lids. A nude gloss completed the makeup, keeping the focus on her features.

Alia Bhatt’s hair was styled in soft, side-parted waves, worn loose to enhance the timeless, old-world mood of the look.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia Bhatt has two exciting projects lined up. She will next appear in ‘Alpha’, a spy thriller helmed by Shiv Rawail, as part of YRF’s spy universe. The movie also stars Sharvari and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles.

She’s also part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’, where she stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Alia Bhatt was last seen in Vasan Bala’s ‘Jigra’, co-starring Vedang Raina.
