Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Chandu Champion’ has gone past the Rs 30 crore mark at the box office.

Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Chandu Champion’ started off slow at the box office as it minted just Rs 4.75 crore on the opening day of its release. However, the positive word-of-mouth has finally started to kick in for the film, and the Kabir Khan-directorial has now gone past the Rs 30 crore mark in India. As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Chandu Champion’ minted Rs 3 crore on Wednesday, the sixth day of its release.

The nett domestic collection of ‘Chandu Champion’ now stands at Rs 32.75 crore. On Wednesday, the new Hindi movie had an overall 13.45 per cent Hindi occupancy.

'Chandu Champion' now needs to hold its ground at the box office. On Friday, 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' will hit the cinemas, while next Thursday will see the release of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan-starrer 'Kalki 2898 AD'.

For the unversed, ‘Chandu Champion’ has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie also stars Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, Shreyas Talpade, and Sonali Kulkarni.

The new Hindi movie narrates the story of a sportsman's resilience and determination. It is based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist in freestyle swimming.

Speaking of 'Munjya', the new Hindi movie minted Rs 2.85 crore on Wednesday, the 13th day of its release. The nett domestic collection of 'Munjya' now stands at Rs 65.30 crore, as per Sacnilk. On Wednesday, 'Munjya' had an overall 19.03 per cent Hindi occupancy.

'Munjya' is the latest installment of the Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe. The new Hindi movie stars Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma and Mona Singh. The movie was released in cinemas on June 7, 2024.

Talking about Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap's Tamil film 'Maharaja', which released in cinemas on June 14, minted Rs 3 crore on Wednesday, the sixth day of its release. The nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 35.15 crore, as reported by Sacnilk.

Lastly, speaking of Hollywood film 'Inside Out 2', the film collected Rs 0.89 crore on Wednesday. The total nett collection of the film in India stands at Rs 10.50 crore, after six days.
