Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan’s ‘Chandu Champion’ has gone past the Rs 50 crore mark in India.

Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan’s maiden collaboration ‘Chandu Champion’ might have taken a slow start at the box office. But over the last few days, the new Hindi movie has managed to find an audience for itself, and it is reflecting in the box office collection as well. As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Chandu Champion’ minted Rs 1.75 crore on Monday, the 11th day of its release. On Monday, the new Hindi movie had an overall 13.14 per cent Hindi occupancy.

With the second Monday’s collection, the film also entered the Rs 50 crore club in India. The total nett domestic collection of the movie stands at Rs 51 crore.

For the unversed, ‘Chandu Champion’ has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie also stars Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Aniruddh Dave, Shreyas Talpade, and Sonali Kulkarni.

The new Hindi movie narrates the story of a sportsman's resilience and determination. It is based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, India's first Paralympic gold medalist in freestyle swimming.

Speaking of Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma and Mona Singh’s ‘Munjya’, which was released in cinemas on June 7, the new Hindi movie is slowly and steadily making its way into the Rs 100 crore mark.

As per early estimates posted by industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Munjya’ minted Rs 2.10 crore on Monday, the 18th day of its release. On Monday, the Hindi film had an overall 12.49 per cent occupancy. The total nett domestic collection of ‘Munjya’ now stands at Rs 85.40 crore.

Speaking of ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’, starring Pashmina Roshan, Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grewal, the new Hindi movie minted Rs 0.38 crore on Monday, the fourth day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 3.98 crore, as per Sacnilk.

The rom-com is directed by Avinash Dharmadhikari and backed by producer Ramesh Taurani’s Tips Films. The production house also backed the 2003 film 'Ishq Vishk', which marked the acting debut of Shahid Kapoor.

Lastly, talking about 'Maharaja', starring Vijay Sethupathi and Anurag Kashyap, the new Tamil film minted Rs 2.25 crore on Monday, the 11th day of its release. The total nett domestic collection of the film now stands at Rs 57.25 crore, as per Sacnilk.

All these films will face mighty competition from Thursday (June 27) as Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani, will be releasing in theatres.
