The tally of Rs 102.55 crore was earned from 21,728 shows across India. As a result, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' has broken the record of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan', which had raked in Rs 75 crore on Day 1. Apart from becoming the biggest Bollywood opener, 'Dhurandhar 2' also registered the biggest opening for an 'A' rated release.
'Dhurandhar 2' also surpassed the opening day collections of Prabhas’ ‘Salaar' and 'Kalki 2898 AD'. When it comes to the Indian cinema, 'Dhurandhar 2' is the fifth-biggest opener (only Day 1 collection, excluding paid previews), only behind 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' (Rs 164.25 cr), 'RRR' (Rs 133 cr), 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' (Rs 121 cr) and 'KGF 2' (Rs 116 cr).

Speaking of the film, the project also stars R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Iqbal. 'Dhurandhar 2' has opened to positive reviews from the audience; however, critics are labelling it “propaganda”.
The first official screening for the cast and crew was held on Thursday and attended by Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh, Yami Gautam, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun. The film also features a cameo by Yami, Aditya Dhar's wife.
As far as the worldwide collection is concerned, the film has reportedly grossed more than Rs 240 crore. However, the official figure is yet to be announced by the producers.
'Dhurandhar 2' has already been praised on social media by Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, and Vijay Deverakonda. Earlier, the paid previews for the film in some regions of the country were cancelled due to technical issues.
Aditya Dhar had taken to social media to confirm the same. In a statement, he stated, “To our dear Dhurandhar family, Dhurandhar is not just a film for us; it is something we have lived with, nurtured, and dreamed of sharing with each and every one of you, together, at the same moment, in every language. Most of our Hindi shows across India are running as scheduled from 5 pm onwards. All of our Tamil and Telugu shows will commence from 9 pm onwards. However, due to unforeseen technical difficulties, our Malayalam and Kannada shows will begin from tomorrow morning.”
“If the dubbed version you have tickets for is not currently playing at your cinema, you will have the option for a refund or to watch the Hindi version with subtitles instead. We truly apologise for the inconvenience. Your love for this film means the world to us, and we cannot wait to share it with you. – Team Jio Studios and B62 Studios,” he added.
The first 'Dhurandhar' minted more than Rs 1300 crore worldwide after its December release. According to several trade experts, the sequel may have enough legs to gross more than Rs 2000 crore worldwide.
