Salman Khan’s hilarious, no-nonsense ad goes viral.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, the man who usually dominates the big screen with high-octane action and larger-than-life drama, has just released what might be the shortest – and arguably the funniest – advertisement of his career. Promoting super.money, a UPI payment app by Flipkart, the Bollywood star ditched the slow-motion entries and heavy dialogues for a meta approach that is currently going viral across social media platforms. The advertisement is a clever play on Salman’s real-life persona – someone who is known for being direct, unfiltered, and occasionally impatient with the extras of movie making.

The video begins on a typical film set. Salman, looking sharp in a black bomber jacket and sporting his signature bracelet, is standing near a desk in a corporate-looking office setting.

A crew member brings in a clapperboard labelled “SUPERMONEY”, and as the director calls for “Action,” the humour begins. Instead of delivering a rehearsed pitch, Salman looks directly at the camera and asks a very relatable question for anyone on a busy schedule: “Lekin bolna kya hai?”

When a nervous production assistant rushes over to hand him a script, Salman doesn’t bother acting. He simply reads the requirements directly from the paper in a deadpan, casual tone. He flatly states the app's core value proposition: “super.money UPI se pay karo and get up to 5 per cent cashback... yeh bolna hai?”

As soon as the assistant confirms with a “Ji sir,” Salman delivers the punchline of the entire ad: “Bol diya”. Without waiting for a “cut” or a second take, he stands up and walks right off the set. The screen then flashes the brand’s tagline: “NO DRAMA. JUST CASHBACK.” When the assistant says, “Sir ad mein 5 seconds baaki hain,” Salman casually says, “Logo daal dena,” as he keeps walking away.

The simplicity of the ad is exactly what has caught the public's attention. Sharing the video on his Instagram handle, Salman captioned it: “Isse simple ad dekha ho toh batao.”

The engagement numbers speak for themselves. Within just three days, the post has garnered over 1.2 million likes and more than 21,000 comments. Fans are praising the "Bhai" energy, noting that only Salman Khan could make a 20-second script-reading feel like a blockbuster moment.

Among the sea of comments, one stood out from filmmaker Farah Khan Kunder, who commented, "Best AD EVER," perfectly capturing the industry's reaction to this minimalist marketing brilliance.

Varun Dhawan dropped several clapping emojis, while Siddhant Chaturvedi shared a string of fire emojis.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Salman Khan will be next seen in ‘Maatrubhumi’. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, ‘Maatrubhumi’ is produced under the Salman Khan Films banner. It also stars Chitrangda Singh.

After this, Salman will feature in director Vamshi Paidipally’s next. Dil Raju will be bankrolling the project.
