Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is officially expanding his digital empire. Beyond dominating the silver screen and ruling television screens on weekends as the host of ‘Bigg Boss 20’, the actor has now ventured into the world of YouTube. Salman Khan recently launched his official YouTube channel, “Being The Salman Khan,” opening up a brand new avenue to connect with his massive global fanbase. He announced the exciting digital venture on his Instagram Story with a short, alphabet-themed teaser video.

Inviting his followers to check out the platform, Salman wrote, “Shuru se shuru karte hain… Mera official YouTube channel. A se Z tak sab yahan milega.” The channel, whose description aptly reads, “Film actor. Artist. Painter. Humanitarian. This is my official channel,” quickly amassed over 36.3K subscribers shortly after the announcement went live.
Rather than opting for conventional long-form content right out of the gate, the actor kicked things off with YouTube Shorts. The debut upload featured a playful, light-hearted setup presenting two versions of the superstar: one playing a coach and the other a student. Initially, it appeared to fans that the "coach" was simply teaching his "student" how to master Salman's signature body language, iconic mannerisms, and classic dialogue delivery.
However, on Saturday, the actor dropped a major surprise regarding the true intent behind his new venture. Taking to Instagram once again, this time with a striking black-and-white photo, he revealed that the channel is actually aimed at educating children. He penned, “Thank u for watching my YouTube Channel, I understand that the content is not for u yet but u also get it that it's for your little ones.”
Elaborating on his vision to mix learning with entertainment, he added, “Let's see how this pans out, thodi si masti ke saath pyaar aur family ke saath education bhi zaruri hai bacchon ke liye. Haina?” True to this heartfelt promise, the debut video's coach-and-student dynamic actually featured Salman acting as a teacher, instructing children about different body parts and basic manners – showcasing a completely different, endearing side of the beloved action star.

While this is Salman's first personal channel, he is no stranger to the platform. His production banner, Salman Khan Films, already runs a successful music-focused channel. With this personal launch, Salman joins a rapidly growing roster of Bollywood A-listers flocking to YouTube. Stars like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Kartik Aaryan, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas have already carved out their spaces. Veterans are finding massive success too; Farah Khan’s celebrity cooking channel, launched in 2024 and often featuring her cook Dilip, has grown to over 3.2 million subscribers. Similarly, Archana Puran Singh's family vlogs alongside her husband Parmeet Sethi and sons Aaryamann and Ayushmaan have crossed the one-million mark since their late-2024 debut, which subsequently inspired her sons to launch their own successful channels.
When he isn't teaching kids on the internet, Salman remains fiercely booked and busy. Currently hosting the 20th season of the hit reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, he is also gearing up for his next cinematic outing, ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’. Co-starring Chitrangada Singh and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is currently in post-production. Initially slated for an April release this year, it has been postponed twice and is awaiting final edit clearance from the CBFC, though industry reports suggest a theatrical debut could happen before the end of the year.
Additionally, Salman is working on a highly-anticipated untitled project directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Produced by Dil Raju, the film will also feature Nayanthara in a key role.
