The reveal, shared on social media, showcases Prithviraj in a chilling avatar, and Rajamouli’s caption only amplified the excitement. Taking to Instagram on Friday, SS Rajamouli wrote, “After canning the first shot with Prithvi, I walked up to him and said you are one of the finest actors I’ve ever known.”

The first look showed Prithviraj Sukumaran in a dark, foreboding look – dressed in black and seated in a wheelchair, exuding intensity through his gaze. Fans were quick to flood social media with reactions, calling the look both “terrifying and brilliant”. Some compared his appearance to Professor X from ‘X-Men’, while others saw hints of ‘Spider-Man’ villain Dr Octavius. A few even drew parallels with Vivek Oberoi’s menacing character from ‘Krrish 3’.

SS Rajamouli’s fans noted how he continues to raise the bar with every update from ‘Globe Trotter’. One user praised his storytelling prowess, writing, “SS Rajamouli Sir never just makes films — he builds worlds! #SSMB29 will redefine Indian cinema.” Another fan predicted the movie would “look futuristic” and “break all records”.

However, not all reactions were glowing. Some users criticised the poster’s design, calling it “AI-generated” and “underwhelming” for a film rumoured to have a Rs 700–800 crore budget. Still, excitement outweighed criticism, with audiences eagerly awaiting what SS Rajamouli calls his “most ambitious project yet”.

The reveal also served as confirmation of the film’s antagonist, following earlier casting announcements. Prior to Prithviraj’s reveal, SS Rajamouli had introduced Priyanka Chopra as part of the ensemble cast, in a tweet that drew comparisons to how Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand promote their films.

Priyanka’s involvement was revealed when Mahesh Babu confronted SS Rajamouli about his in-process film on the Indian epic ‘Mahabharata’. He wrote on X, “First things first, you promised us something in November. Please keep your word.”

The director quickly responded and told Mahesh Babu, “It has just started, Mahesh. We’ll slowly reveal them one by one.”

Mahesh Babu was having none of it, and he tagged Priyanka Chopra in the next post and talked about how she has been going around Hyderabad, where the film is being shot. Priyanka came to her defence and threatened to reveal the stories Mahesh Babu has told her on set.

‘Globe Trotter’ is being described as a pan-Indian action-adventure following a globe-trotting hero on perilous missions across continents. The film stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role, with Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha and Priyanka Chopra as the female lead. SS Rajamouli hinted that the film’s teaser will premiere on November 15 during a live launch event streamed on JioHotstar.

Sharing an update from the set, SS Rajamouli wrote on X, “Amidst the climax shoot on set with all three, there’s a lot more prep happening around the Globe Trotter event, as we’re trying something far beyond what we’ve done before. Can’t wait for you all to experience it on Nov 15th. Leading up to it, we’re filling your week with a few more things lined up.”
