As per a report, Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumara will be playing key roles in SS Rajamouli's next.

SS Rajamouli is one of the most acclaimed commercial Indian filmmakers and he is responsible for putting Indian cinema on the global map. His previous releases such as 'Baahubali' franchise and 'RRR' enjoy a global fandom and fans cannot wait to see what the director does next. In the latest entertainment news, we have just the update for you. As per a report in Pinkvilla, SS Rajamouli has finalised the lead actors for his upcoming film, and it will be Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, who will be sharing the screen for the very first time.

The report states that SS Rajamouli's next will be an African Jungle Adventure, on the lines of 'Indiana Jones'. Mahesh Babu's character will have traits of Lord Hanuman as SS Rajamouli and his writer father V. Vijayendra Prasad have integrated elements from Ramayana in the script.

In the upcoming film, 'Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire' star Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the main antagonist.

"SS Rajamouli has been talking to Prithviraj for a while now and the duo have finally signed the dotted lines. Now, Prithviraj is all set to take on Mahesh Babu under the direction of SS Rajamouli," Pinvilla quoted a source as saying.

"It’s a well-written part, that has an arc of its own. The character has his own backstory justifying the actions, and Prithviraj is also excited for his first-ever collaboration with both SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu," the source added.

As per the report, SS Rajamouli has now proceeded to finalise the casting for the film.

The upcoming movie will be produced by an international film studio and currently, the talks are on with Disney and Sony Pictures.

SS Rajamouli is now planning to take the film on floors by the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
