A meaningful detail that caught attention was the pasupu kommalu – turmeric stems tied with a sacred thread around her wrist. In traditional Telugu customs, these are worn by a bride after marriage and are later removed when the mangalasutram discs, initially tied on two separate threads during the ceremony, are unified and placed onto a single gold chain. The ritual symbolises the formal consolidation of marital status.

Vijay complemented her festive look in a grey kurta and pyjama set, accessorised with a gold chain and black sunglasses that added a contemporary edge. The couple exchanged vows on February 26, 2026, at ITC Mementos in Udaipur in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. Soon after the wedding, Rashmika Mandanna shared an emotional post introducing Vijay as the man who showed her the meaning of love and peace, someone who consistently encouraged her to dream bigger.
