Watch: Prabhas Fans Carry Fake Crocodiles Into Theatres For ‘The Raja Saab’ Release
Prabhas fans brought fake crocodiles to theatres on the opening day of ‘The Raja Saab’.
Telugu superstar Prabhas has once again proven the scale of his stardom as his latest film, ‘The Raja Saab’, hit theatres today. In an unusual display of fan devotion, moviegoers were seen bringing stuffed crocodiles into cinema halls during the opening screenings. Social media was flooded with footage of fans hoisting oversized crocodile props above their heads while rushing into theatres. While the sight initially startled some attendees, the animals were actually fake dummies.
This unique stunt was a direct tribute to a viral moment from the film's trailer, where Prabhas’ character was seen throwing a crocodile during an intense fight sequence. Fans, many dressed in themed gear, celebrated the release with high-energy chants and cheers, carrying these props as symbols of the film's mass appeal.
‘The Raja Saab’ is already making a significant commercial impact. According to early data from box office tracker Sacnilk, the film earned approximately Rs 8.26 crore in India across all languages on its opening day during advance bookings. Industry analysts also noted that the film successfully snatched the top spot at the Indian box office, ending the 35-day dominance of Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ with its morning show earnings alone.
The film is a high-budget fantasy-horror-comedy that follows the journey of Raja (Prabhas). Living with his grandmother, who is struggling with memory loss and searching for her missing husband, Raja’s quest leads him to a mysterious, ancestral mansion. The story unfolds as Raja navigates supernatural occurrences and eerie family secrets while focused on restoring his family’s legacy.
Apart from Prabhas, the film features a star-studded ensemble, including Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab.
Directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, ‘The Raja Saab’ marks Prabhas’ highly anticipated return to a massy avatar. To ensure a wide reach, the film was released as a pan-India project in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
